چکیده
In this study, we aimed to estimate the association between rs9939609 FTO (fat mass and obesity associated) polymorphism a risk of overweight in children living Baikal region. We performed case – control study that included 113 schoolchildren industrial centers region (Irkutsk, Angarsk, Ulan-Ude). Anthropometric parameters were measured body index was calculated with its values being ranked accordance WHO BMI curves depending on sex age. Genotyping by allele-specific amplification real-time results detection. To assess likelihood an gene allele obesity, relative (RR) 95 % confidence interval (CI) calculated. The assessment revealed A be 1.29 times more frequent examined (48.44 %) than form reference group (37.65 %). authentically associated elevated risks homozygous AA genotype (RR = 2.806, CI: 1.650–4.772; STD 0.271). Our confirms is factor for from who have genotype. Prevailing frequency TT (29.2 as compared (10.62) likely due influence assimilation processes urbanized territories

Relationship between rs9939609 Polymorphism of FTO Gene, Diabetes Mellitus and Tuberculosis
Abstract Tuberculosis and diabetes mellitus are the most important reasons in mortality all over the world. It’s clear that reviewing of relationship between Tuberculosis (TB) and diabetes mellitus (DM) is necessary; on the other hand it’s found that FTO gene has the positive relationship with metabolic issues. Therefore, it’s necessary pay attention to the above and danger...

OBJECTIVE To determine the association between overweight/obesity in schoolchildren with FTO rs9939609 polymorphism (fatmass and obesity associated) and family history of obesity. METHODS Cross-sectional study comprising a sample of 406 children aged 7-17 years in a city in southern Brazil. Overweight/obesity in schoolchildren was assessed by body mass index (BMI), and family history of obesi...
متن کاملObesity-associated gene FTO rs9939609 polymorphism in relation to the risk of tuberculosis
BACKGROUND Obesity is known to affect cell-mediated immune responses. Recent studies have revealed that genetic polymorphisms in the fat mass and obesity associated (FTO) gene are related to human obesity. We hypothesize that this gene may also play a role in the risk of immune-related infectious diseases such as tuberculosis. METHODS This case-control study included 1625 pulmonary tuberculos...

15 صفحه اولThe FTO Gene rs9939609 Polymorphism Predicts Risk of Cardiovascular Disease: A Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis
OBJECTIVE Genome-wide association studies have shown that variance in the fat mass- and obesity- associated gene (FTO) is associated with risk of obesity in Europeans and Asians. Since obesity is associated with an increased risk of cardiovascular disease (CVD), several studies have investigated the association between variant in the FTO gene and CVD risk, with inconsistent results. In this stu...
